In the video you will see how the water is filtered to remove chlorine and other harmful chemicals, and then it is ionized to split apart the H2O molecules into OH- and H+ ions.  The water with a predominance of OH- ions is the alkaline Kangen Water ™ which is used for healthy drinking water, while the water with a predominance of H+ ions is acidic andn is used for other important purposes including cooking and beauty care.

The Enagic SD501 Kangen Water Ionizer has seven electrode plates that are solid Titanium and dip-coated with Platinum, and a continuous supply of 230 Watts of electricity for a very powerful ionization process resulting in a strong negative ORP (Oxidative Reduction Potential).
