This faucet uses only one hole in the countertop, but has three water inputs:

1. Cold water for the main pull-down faucet.
2. Hot water fo the main pull-down faucet.
3. Cold filtered water for the dedicated drinking water faucet.

With this faucet, you can have an under-counter water filter that taps into your cold water intake line with a “T” joint. The filtered water has its own dedicated under-counter connection to the faucet, and the filtered water comes out the special drinking water tap which you see pointing outward on the side of the main faucet in the above image.

You can also use this faucet to supply water to a counter-top water ionizer by clamping the water ionizer’s supply hose to the faucet’s dedicated drinking water tap. With this arrangement, the water ionizer works entirely independent from the pull-down faucet.

We looked long and hard to find a kitchen faucet like this one that does all of the following for us:

1. Requires only ONE hole in the countertop, so there is no need to drill a second hole to accommodate an under-counter water filter or to supply a countertop water ionizer.
2. Eliminates the need to attach a special diverter adapter to the main tap of the pull-down faucet to supply water to a countertop water filter or a countertop water ionizer.
3. Provides a dedicated tap for filtered water so the normal cold water usage for washing hands and washing dishes does not run unnecessary water through an under counter drinking water filter.
4. Enables a countertop water ionizer to work fully independently from the main tap so you can be using the water ionizer at the same time, in parallel usage, while the main pull-down faucet is being used by yourself or another individual for rinsing dishes or washing hands.
5. The main pull-down faucet and the dedicated drinking water faucet turn on and off independently, so both can be on a the same time, or one can be on while the other is off. The on/off and hot/cold control for the pull-down faucet is separate from the on/off control for the drinking water faucet.

We found this faucet easy to install, and it does everything we had hoped it would do. We have been very pleased with it!
